Salmon
barbecues over an open alderwood fire have been a longstanding
tradition in the Sooke region. Today the museum has added
a rotisserie to the historic outdoor barbecue facilities,
creating ever so many new opportunities for local feasts available
to groups booking ahead.
Barbecues,
lunches, and afternoon teas can be pre-arranged
in a picnic style setting for groups wishing to sample local
specialties as they come to visit the community.
It's a
fun mix, adding the flavour of the community to the flair
of the presentation of heritage, fine art and culture experienced
at the Sooke Region Museum.
